ZILLOW’S 2017 “HOUSE OF THE YEAR” IS A TREEHOUSE

Following a fun year of home features, Zillow crowned the 2017 “House of the Year” and it’s a one-of-a-kind treehouse on Bainbridge Island that was sold by Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty (RSIR) broker Leah Applewhite over the summer. A Real Simple re-cap describes the home as “part treehouse, part ship” that perfectly “combines two fantasy homes into one.” One look at the property and it’s easy to see why “this towering home nestled in the trees is a favourite.”

The living room lets the greenery in from its Point White perch.

From the kitchen with treetop and Puget Sound views to a selection of windows made from “repurposed ship portholes” that reflect “the local maritime industry,” this Point White residence exudes the Bainbridge Island lifestyle.
